Insurance

Now that I'm the proud owner of a 1948 WeeWind Airstream, can anyone suggest an appropriate insurance broker in Northern California?

As far as I know, Foremost is a nation wide Co.

There are other threads in this forum, and other RV forum, and they point towards Foremost being the best bet.

We have had our AS insured with them since 1992, one big claim was well handled.

Do you have a number or website for Foremost?

Question Doubtful but..

1948 WeeWind Airstream, may be a bit of strech to get insurance for..I'd like to know how that works out.
Biggest issue will be determining the value of your unit. You might consider going to a reputable A/S dealer and, getting it appraised for insurances purposes. If you paid premium price for it, then..that may help set the bench mark for insurance purposes.

FOREMOST

Hope this helps you.

ciao

I had no problem insuring our unit with my regular insurance agent. Unfortunalty till I get an apraisal they will only insure it for $3k. Once I get an apraisal they said no problem on insuring it for aparaised value. Honestly in it's current condiion $3k is a reasonable amount of coverage.
I'm with State Farm.

Not in the same league as 1948 Wee Wind, but when I went to insure my 2003 Safari, my current insurer would not insure it as "it was too valuable". I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life.

My agent was able to find another company (Elite) who specializes in RV insurance.

Just my 2 cents
