So... you folks who have recently looked into financing a new Airstream... what interest rates are you finding out there?

4 percent give or a few decimal points seems to be the going rate.

Try Alliant Credit Union if you are an Escapees member.

Curious as to the length of the typical loan?

Also curious if people are doing 10, 15 or 20 year loans?

From my credit union I got 2.7 percent for a 5 year loan. For up to 7 years it was 3.4 percent.

UFCU in Texas is doing 2% for 72 months and just 2.15% for up to 10 years. My credit score was 795. Must be in-state purchase.

It would appear banks are around 4 right now.

So, did you finance the truck and the Airstream with one loan?

Where can you find the 4% rate? We are currently over 6% which is killing us. In fact looking at trying to sale.

If it’s 25k or more Good Sam is below 6% for all time periods. That was a quick google search. There are a number of considerations that could impact that rate though.

Interest rates have risen in the last month or two. The best I could find is 4.69% @ 120 months (local credit union). Of course, I double or triple the payments.

depending on credit score it will vary. The lowest I could find (Good Sam) recently was 4.69% for 180 months. But things are all over the map and it of course varies depending on your credit score.

Hi

The rate you get will vary all over the map depending on your credit score, the part of the country you are in, your net worth, the age of the trailer, the percentage of the "value" (calculated who knows how ) you are financing, the term of the loan, the type of institution you get the funds from, the extent of your relation with the institution, and how reputable that institution is.

I can go out and find loan quotes below 2% for various combinations of the above. I can also find combinations where 8% would be a *really* good deal.

Way to many variables to have a single answer that applies beyond "I got this". If you shop around and can't get near that, you have a different combination of the variables.
