Value on 2005 Classic 30'
Queen, awnings all around, 13.5k AC (concerned if this will keep us cool in deep SE). All original no mods made. I imagine skylights will need to be changed (maxim). Looks to be in good shape.

We paid 35k for our 2004 31 classic in 2009. After a lot of modifications it is now valued at 40k done by an appraiser. That being said we think the rig in question is worth 25k.

I'm not a sure as you....it seems that with the huge increase in AS interest in the marketplace, that the few I have followed lately have held or even increase in value. If this is a very clean unit, I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell in the low to mid 30s.

This is my thought as well but I wanted to throw it out there to see if I was off the mark. Been eyeballing them for the last several years.

We bought our 04 31 Classic a year ago for 23,000 it needed a few things like tires, micro, skylights, toilet, and new floor covering and I feel we did good so I'd say grab it. Lee

Mine's a 2000 Excella 30'. I wouldn't take a dime less than $35K for mine. I guess I just love it more than market value money.

My thoughts are somewhere in the 28K range. It doesn't take long to add another 5K in parts and materials when you remodel one...

Purchased one in July of 16, it was 31K. Added wheels and tires immediately and the fridge was shot, otherwise in really good condition.

AC a single? Work well with summer heat? Probably go for $32k I'm hoping. Everything is open for negotiation.

Last year my wife and I bought a 30' Classic in original hardly used condition. We paid 34K for it after looking for about six months. We have done modifications to make it how we like it, changed flooring, new conveeter, tongue jack, wheels, tires and a bunch of maintenance stuff. We love it so we feel it is worth tons more than we paid....It is truly our favorite place to live...

I'll be surprised if that doesn't bring right at the asking price.

If the shower is streetside then it's a 31 Classic, right? 30s have the shower curbside across the hall from the toilet.

In my judgement, a 12 year old 2005 30' A/S in good condition without updates would sell in Colorado, from a non dealer, in the high $20,000 range. If you said excellent condition with a few upgrades like wood floor, new mattress, stored indoors or curtains then I would go low to mid $30s. Also, a good modern WD hitch adds value & so does lots of service records. . There are lots of choices out there if you can wait & do some homework Best to ya. Lou Dee

Thanks again for the insight. Met a great family and we were able to strike a deal. My wife and boy love it. It needs a fair amount of general maintenance but for an 05 it looks great. Neighbors all came running and gave it a thorough inspection and made comments about the "new" Airstream . I later told them it was an 05 and their jaws hit the floor. I hope to keep it for many years and look fwd to getting to know a few of you.

Isn't that a great thing about owning an Airstream, keep it shiny and no one knows how old it is. Except for the ones who ask "Do they still make those things?"
