Value of a 25' 2002 Safari

So new to the forum. What is the value of a garaged 25' Safari in average condition? We have not seen it in person yet and I am skeptical of the $22K asking price. We would be the third owner. Please advise. Thanks!

Four years ago I paid $20K for a 2001. It was in excellent condition, having been stored inside for 12 of its 13 years when not on the road. I had people refuse to believe it was a 2001; they thought it was new. It had new wood-grain vinyl flooring, recliners instead of the sofa, a new microwave, and came with an Equalizer hitch.

If it is in great condition, $22K for a 2002 is probably an OK price, at least in my opinion.

Does not sound out of line to me, Are you OK with the Safari simple windows? not wrap around front. Your options are not great in that price range so the step up can be pretty big from there.

For a point of reference, our 91 Excella 25 that has been gone thru extensively with custom stainless steel kitchen counter, shower and new Everything will be going on the market in the low $30 k range. Needs nothing to go camping.

I would not sell my 02 Safari 25 for less than $25K. It is stored in covered storage. The price depends on the condition of the trailer. You often see Safari 25's in that age range listed for more than $22K. No telling what they sold for.

Do you have any pictures of the trailer?

Safari 25 corner bee

I purchased my 2001 Safari for about the same price and completely updated the interior with marine vinyl walls, new kitchen, new floor, new convection oven, etc. I also did extensive floor repair in the back and that was a job. Mine was garage kept too. Floor damage is typical in these units. Be sure and look for it. I am considering putting mine on the market and wonder if I should get an appraisal for about $300 to help me decide on a listing price. Does anyone have an opinion on this approach? I suspect the appraisal will be more than what I paid, but I’m not looking for a value for insurance. Thank you.
