Your renovation costs seem high, my DIY costs as I recall on an 09 FC:
Micro Convection 400$ and 3hrs (used table saw steel cutting blade to cut trim)
Tires. 600$ LT 16"
Rims. 400$ Alum
A/C. 550$ 13.5K and 2-3 hrs R&R
Hot Water Heater. 350$ 4 hrs, had to make cut outs in inside wood frame to fit
Furnace. 300$? Had to bend new copper pipe, new mod, about 4hrs
LED lights. 24$ x 12
Radio & Speakers. 250$ 3 hrs
Kit Faucet. 150$ 3 hrs had to make new lines and fittings
WaterbPump. 100$ 1 hr
Shower & Bath Fans 120$ 2 hrs had to seal on top of roof
Rust Removal 50$ (Por-15 six 4oz cans) 10 hrs, good, but do not spill/splash
Brakes. 200$ 4 hrs, all new parts, 4 wheels
Radio Ant. 30$ 1hr

Hope this helps and I am pulling this out of a feeble mind. You need special tool for pex? water lines and a pipe bender for furnace copper pipe: all from Lowes.

IMHO, buy it, use it, then decide if you like it.
To spend $50k on a renovation, on top of a $42k purchase price is just asking for disappointment.

Cheers

UPDATE TO OP;

Realized I never came back and made a final note of appreciation to all those that responded to this post. Taking in a number of factors, we moved on and ended up purchasing a one owner, 2018 Classic M30 RQB still under factory warranty out in Las Vegas in Feb. of this year. Made a really great deal and actually purchased it for less than its NADA Commercial (Dealer's version) book trade-in value and which excluded a $23k full AM Solar Victron/LifePro Lithium set-up, ProPride 3P AS/WD Hitch, WeBoost, Apple TV, etc. etc. Our purchase included our having an NRVIA Certified Pre-Purchase Inspection which found nothing wrong or at issue other than an recently outstanding Factory TSB/Recall for the Alde Hydronic Heating system which was covered and performed by our closest Airstream Dealer once we returned home (1,700 miles) with it.

Again, Thanks to all whom responded.

Here's a few photos of the gem we purchased from its original owners who were trading up into a Class A Diesel Pusher.

A pre-purchase NRVIA Certified inspection found 0-zero issues other than an outstanding TSB/Recall in the Alde Hydronic Heating Fluid as well as some cosmetic"peppering" from road debris on its ProPride Hitch, Propane Tank Cover and front stainless segment panels from the prior owner's recent trip to Alaska of which we resolved by cleaning up, repainting the hitch and replacing the segment panels with new ones. We also, elected to change out all the Zip Dee awning fabrics to the tuxedo black sunbrella fabric (of which we didn't particularly care for the OEM striped fabrica) and all of which were DIY'er projects except the Alde system TSB which was taken care of by an Airstream Dealer.
