question of future airstream production

Hello all,
I am sorry if this has been "threaded" before-I could not find a discussion of this topic. What is the scoop on Airstream's production of larger units in the near future? Having been a 25' Safari FB owner for 4 years, I am looking to "lengthen" my ownership (34' SO), but rumor has it that the larger units will not be made. I apologize for the redundance.

IIRC, we were told at the Airstream factory tour in July that 34's would no longer be built.

I understand that the factory has discontinued production of 34's except the Pan America Toy Hauler.

During the last 30 days I have talked with a few different dealers, around 10 or 12 and they have all said that 2010 there are no 34's except for the Pan-American, all slides also have been discontinued as well. A couple of them even said that to get a Pan-American for 2010 the dealer has to have a sale to order it or actually buy it when they order one.
I wondered why it was becoming so hard to find a 34 w/slide this late in the year, we have found one and are trying to get it bought even though I would have much rather waited until 2010 and just ordered one.
I think AS should have kept the 34's w/wo slides and just made it where you had to order one, not stop production all together.
But you know once all the young ones that are buying the bambi's and such get older and start wanting the larger trailer, or they become in demand again, AS will most likely start making them again.
