I paid just under $20k for our 1984 model in great condition with a full service, and repair if needed, of everything that needed servicing or fixing. New bearings, new brakes, serviced hitch, everything that needed attention got it, inside and out. The work was performed by CanAm, to a great standard.
We then spent extra money on new upholstery, a new floor and other upgrades. I am estimating that, once we'll be done, we'll spend about $40k on the trailer but that will include a composting toilet, more solar and a totally refreshed interior.
If we decide to fix the clearcoat, that number will go up.
Our 1984 only weighs about 7500lbs ready to camp, we tow it with a Honda Odyssey fitted with a Hensley hitch.
