Hi Everyone,
Could someone comment on whether they think that $26,900 Cdn (about $23,216 USD) is a good deal for a trailer I am looking at to buy. It has damage to the skin on both sides. Also there is a pulled out dent in the left rear curved corner. (the dealer says it was in and accident but doesn't know the details...how some one can damage two sides of a trailer simultaneously puzzles me) The window on the left side to the right of the entry door has been replaced by a flat piece of tinted lexan and caulked into place. It does not open. Also the inside window trim for the right front corner window is missing leading me to believe that the right front corner skin was damaged. It's also suspicious that the skin in that area ( and across the front is covered by a black matting type of material. The belly skin is in mint condition as is the interior other than the aforementioned window trim. All the appliances and plumbing work perfectly. Also there is a solar panel system installed. I've included some pictures.
According to the NADA guide, the low retail price for a damaged and dented unit is about $21K US$. Go to nadaguides.com and figure it yourself.
However, the unit you are looking at is severely dented and apparently took a huge hit. It would cost thousands upon thousands of dollars to fix properly.
Last but not least, ask yourself if really want to invest $23K+ in a unit that looks like this?

Knowing myself it would be very hard to live with the damage and I would be spending money on it very shortly so I think I will pass on this one....still I wonder where the price point would be where it would be worthwhile....
If anyone is out there that has a line on an A/S that is in great shape for that kind of money (27k cdn, 23k us) then I'd love to hear from you. That price would be my upper limit and I would be more comfortable with somewhat less. Thankyou for your comment...very much appreciated
