Hi all, we are new at this, still looking for the AS for us. We have settled on the 23FB, now just need to find one.... We will be looking at an 08 Safari SE 23FB this week, and since it is quite aways away would like to be ready to purchase if "it's the one". The seller describes it as in excellent condition. My question is , what is a fair offer? I've looked at the NADA listing and am looking for advice. Thanks in advance!
Be careful with NADA and other "blue book" type quotes. They are notoriously unreliable for trailers. Check ebay for completed listings and see how much similar traielrs are actually selling for. Also, check the Air Forums classifieds to see asking prices of similar trailers.
Proceed with caution on the trailers that are "quite a ways away." Its easy to convince yourself that "its the one," if you have invested several hours driving to see it. Always be ready to walk away. There are volunteer inspectors listed on the forums--you might be able to find one that is near this trailer and have them look at it in advance. That way if something is really wrong, you can have the benefit of a trained eye in advance.
