HELP possible buy - 2003 Bambi

A friend of mine....she is considering buying a bambi for herself...I am not an expert on used.....nor is she....this add listed near us seems odd to me...price seems oddly low...she emailed the seller and got a response fairly generic stating basically (in a nutshell): "its great, all systems work".....did not to me sound like an airstream enthusiast talking...included in the description "generator"....so I found that odd...getting a bad feeling about this...but perhaps its just a good deal...time will tell.

I told her to look up an inspector on here...or worst case we would do a thorough inspection of flooring for rot, rear end seperation? all systems ok, etc...

Any issues with that model and year - 2003 19 foot bambi of historical concern?

Something smells fishy to me....but it is not far...just more than an hour drive for her and her boyfriend (he is a handy and smart guy they are both I think in their 50's I think)....

Any advice would be appreciated...if it all checks out she will possibly just buy it up soon.

Hmm..sounds fishy to me too. If the deal is "too good to be true" it usually is - especially on CraigsList.

Scam Details Selling Airstream for $4800 for a 2003 Bambi - a ridiculously LOW price.
Claims he is divorced and trying to sell. Camper is with shipping company in Omaha, NE. Send money to eBay since he is a registered user, but you can not find the listing as he claims that he has received too many requests and has unlisted it.
Call from 1st number gets a text message from the 2nd number 402-819-7414 asking for more info.

I was immediately very skeptical - glad I learned about that website - she would never wire money - so crazy

Don't discount Craigs list too much. I bought mine from C.L. A 20 minute drive with no deposit on me. Left him my drivers licence as a deposit. He's letting me store it for free, after I found his wifes diamond earring that was lost long ago. Keep looking their out there.
