Fair Market Value for 2004 25' CCD

Good Morning, I have been considering buying a 2004 25" ccd for our primary camping trailer. Most trailers post on the internet from rv dealers range from 32k to 35k, however if you look up the nada value for a fully loaded 2004 the average retail falls between 22k to 24k. With the economy, what would be a fair market value? Would most rv dealers or private sellers consider 23k.

Second, are there any other models 2004 and older that include a couch, dinette, and bed in a 25' trailer.

32-35 too, high especially with the tanking economy.

Depending on condition the range you mention should be in the ball park,

IF....EVERYTHING.... is working. Inspect carefully.

NADA values are way off from actually values. Look at the classified and even ebay you won't see newer units selling for NADA prices. Which is a issue when your the seller and someone is demanding you take 'book value' for your Airstream, when you know it's worth more.

Example a 1998 31' Excella 1000 list for $12,730 you try to find one for that price any where.

understood, that's my point. 32k too high from a dealer, 21k too low on nada. So what meet in the middle??? I think that would still be a little on the high side. At this point I would consider offering about 25k this would be about 4k more than nada, if the unit was in very good shape.

Yes. You can get an older Safari SS like this one that gives you the couch, dinette, and bed. I've seen a less-than-perfect late-90s Safari like that listed for $15k-ish, but I'm not sure that's typical.

Personally, I think you offer what you want - the worse anyone can do is say no.

There were two versions of the 25 Six Sleeper. One is the CCD format the other was the standard Safari line which didn't have the exposed alum interior or fancy windows (which all Airstreams really should have).

Bottom line is that I would pay no more than $25k to $28k for this unit depending on condition, accessories, etc.

I have the non-CCD version of this unit and it is suppose to be worth $24k. The CCD option was about a $5k upcharge when new back in 2004. Given depreciation, the economy and such, between $25k and $28k would be a fair price IMHO, but you never know how the deal was structured that the dealer took. He may have given wholesale to wholesale or retail to retail. If in fact his deal was a wholesale to wholesale (assuming the unit was taken on trade), he may opt to hold out for closer to his asking price rather than take a bigger loss. It's all about horse trading and how good you are at it.

a friend of mine says nada plus 5k. any more is too much . say thanks and take a hike. if the unit is one you just have to have well, let your wallet do the talking.
