Looks pretty nice for a 66 if the price is right. You can count on needing axles. Check the rear hatch, inside all access doors, bath, under all vent stacks, inside the door, under front window for floor rot. If you find it it will mean a lot of work. Water heater is most like bad, AC may or may not work. Check that windows are glass and not plastic. The 66-68's had curved glass and there is only one source for new and it is VERY expensive. Also check the black tank and the galvanized box that is sits in. Many times the galvanized box is rusted and in bad shape. Check for plumbing leaks too. All these things would not be a deal breaker if the price is right and if you find problems it may help your negotiations. Finally be aware of the time it takes to fix these things. I can assure you, whatever amount you estimate you can probably triple (at least that has been my experience bringing my Trade Wind back to life)

Here's what I see. Axles do look a little low. Awning fabric is loose so most likely awning is pooched. Water heater has been replaced and the A/C is a newer unit as well. Shell looks good, no dents and no apparent signs of rear end seperation. The woodwork looks in reasonable shape and the rest of the appliances look original and in good shape. Newer toilet, bath & sink look in usable condition. The replacement mattress will not allow the bed to be folded up to open up the aisle space, no biggie but somewhat of a PITA to walk around.
As has already been stated check for floor rot and window condition.

Here's what we saw.

1) No signs of rear end separation.
2) Good shell
3) 2 signs of water leaks (1 vent, 1 plumbing) minor damage to wood work only.
4) 2 bad windows 1 is curved
5) Awning is indeed dry rotted
6) Subfloor appears stable throughout, including inside the compartments.

The interior woodwork looks pretty good for 45 years a bit refinishing and it will shine.
It seems to be a 30' Sov. but the layout is more like what I have seen for an Amb. not sure...forgot to grab the vin.

I'd buy it too, but I am biased.

Its the closest thing, that I have seen, to mine.

Ok...she will be ours in a few hours! Sadly I won't be able to do much more than visit her until August though. Now, Jenny has a big shiny sister!

Whatever you find, whatever condition, whatever year, your going to have to fix it, update it, maintain it, if you like it, buy it. Life's short and its only money. ; )

Stevie comes home today! I mowed the field on the other side of Jenny to make room for her...
