Hello all,
We have a
1964 Airstream Overlander that we have decided to sell because we just don’t use it enough, unfortunately. We’ve already got her set up in town with a for sale sign, but I feel like we’re asking too much and I’d like to hear from others who are more knowledgeable than we are. We had work done on it a few years ago and spoke with that man the other day who suggested the current price. I don’t want to say what it’s listed for, I’d like your input before I share that. I can’t answer too much about technical questions, but I’ll do my best.
The axles were replaced about 3-4 years ago, new tires about three years ago, the bathroom has been totally redone with a porcelain toilet and new shower, plus a vanity w/sink (no mirror). New AC about three years ago. 10 or 11 gal. electric water heater. Twin beds (I think I remember finding a receipt that the mattresses were purchased new in the 70’s), original couch, original stove/oven (both worked the last time used in 2019). It’s a “door-within-a-door”, jalousy window. The refrigerator is dated but still works (not original). No heater. It has custom made curtains from a previous owner. Cabinets and storage are original. Only one tank for black/gray water. Does have electric brakes. Has had some rewiring for the AC and water heater. I’m not sure what else information would be helpful to know in determining the value.
I’ll try to post pictures with this, but I’m not very technologically advanced! I just want honest thoughts from people who are more experienced with Airstreams than we are. Thank you for your time! (I think I’m successful with getting the pictures attached! She’s dusty because we live on a dirt road, and she’s been kept under the carport the whole time we’ve owned her.)
