Airstream vs Classic Cars market trends

I received a email from the Hagerty Classic Auto Insurance stating that they feel and a "correction" was about to happen in the collector car market and prices are set to start increasing. I am pretty new to Airstream market so I wanted to ask some of the more experienced folks here if they think there has been a correlation between the airstream market and the classic car market over the years?

The only 'correction' that I would like to see is Hagerty and other classic car insurers to insure my classic cars when I tow my Airstream. NO insurer that I've found will give me Classic Car insurance on my 2 cars if I use them to tow our vintage Airstream.

Wow I did not realize that was the case. I am working on a 1958 Chevy Apache I want to use as a tow vehicle.

Yes, I used to have old cars and that type of insurance stipulates the car not be driven to work, or even frequently, and be garage kept, to get the reduced rate of "classic car" insurance.

Sprouty this may be true of the classic car industry but remember also that premiums are based on the amount insured. Car value or more importantly perceived car value increases are based on the amount insured. The more "they" say it's worth the more your premiums go up. There are many loop holes that 'get you also, as already stated by other posters. Now then I suppose the same could be said for our 'classic' AS that have agreed upon values.

I have three cars insured with Hagerty with a combined value of $100,000 and the premiums are less than $500 per year for full coverage. I did have an El Camino insured with them and they were very specific about no towing. My only complaint is that the umbrella policy I have with another carrier will not extend to vehicles insured by Hagerty.

In earlier conversations, the Hagerty people told me that the sticking point on insuring towable classics is the use of propane as a heating/cooking fuel.

The Autoweek online edition posted this bit on the current prices of classic cars being unsustainable. Sorry for the additional post as the rules are the rules when it comes to editing:
