66 GT Value?

What's a 66 Globetrotter in fair condition worth?

A guy near me has one for sale. It's not in as good a condition as my Excella, at least appearance wise, but the frame probably isn't saggy or no separation because its so short. The shell has a few dings and is kind of corroded, but could be fixed up. He wants $4K for it. Seemed steep to me, but I know this is considered a desirable model to many. Just curious as to if he's high or low.

could be worth 4K depending on the interior. without seeing any pictures, i'd say anywhere between 2500 and 4500.

Seems about right if; the axle isn't shot, the appliances work, the 110 ac isn't too corroded (aluminum wiring) and all the curved windows are still glass.
Any of these items will drop the price accordingly.

Tom.

I've seen it for a couple years from a quarter mile away and it looked OK. But he just now put it up for sale and put it up by the road. I stopped last night on the way home from work to take a look. It was getting dark and raining, but I could see a few dents, the shell's corrosion, and the old tires. Overall it looks solid. I ddn't get down and check the axle or frame. It was sitting in a soft rain soaked field so not sure if the axle is sagging a lot or not. It was locked and so I could only peer through the window. Interior looked basically stock and unrestored....i.e. old and worn. It looks like a pretty much untouched 1966 trailer. It's not been beat up too badly, but not much TLC from the looks of it. I couldn't tell you on any of the systems...it may just be an aluminum tent right now. It's definitely fixable uppable though. It's on route 522 between Winchester Va and Berkeley Springs WV, in VA. I'd be tempted if I didn't already have one.
