2003 Airstream Classic 27'
Hello,
I'm considering buying a 2003 Airstream Classic for $25,000. Is this a fair price for a unit has been well kept and is very clean ? Who are the best inspectors to use if you can find them ? I'm very new to Airstreams. I'm also considering buying a new regular trailer for $15,000. The seller said this is a 28' Classic. But it seems they don't make a 28'. Don't they make a 2003 27' FB Classic ? Is the classic the top of the line Airstream ?
Thank you for any advice and explanations.

You can request an inspector via forums. If you scroll down on the portal, you will see the inspector request info.

Airstream value
I have an '04 28' Classic, so they probably made an '03. Just an opinion on value, but I'm thinking that 25K may be the upper price range for that year and model. It should be all original, clean and free of any issues for that price. As a first time buyer you might be better off to pay more to get the right unit, providing it fits your budget and needs. If possible, get a knowledgeable inspector. Is it for sale by a dealer or individual? Good luck!

We live in the Twin Cities, MN. Where is the trailer? Ladysmith is several hours from us, but if the trailer is closer, we might be able to inspect for you. Shoot us a PM if you want.

The price sounds fair for a really clean trailer.
Hopefully all goes well and you will bring her on home.

It seems to me like a fair price provided that the trailer is indeed in good condition.
I have a 30' Classic and live south of Minneapolis. I don't usually travel that far to inspect trailers. Minno is closer should be able to help you out.

Hello,
How do you like your 28' classic. How does it tow ? Do you like the interior setup ? Do you have twin's or a queen. I'm going to buy the 03' Classic 28' I'm going to be towing it with a F-150 Eco Boost. Which handles up to 11,000 pounds.

As I noted in your other thread, I am quite satisfied with my Classic. True, if I was ordering new I might go for other features, maybe not. From what I have read about the Eco-boost I think you will be fine for towing. (there are several threads about the Eco-boost) I tow with an 07 Yukon, plenty of power. I also have a 26' Crossroads Zinger (square box)that I used for work. It is about 2000 lbs lighter than the Classic but I get 2 to 3 mpg better when pulling the Classic. I have a Reese WD hitch without sway control which is supposedly not the premier setup, but have never had any problems towing. Post photos when they are available!

To answer a question in the first post- Yes, the Classic is the top-of-the-line Airstream.

Yes, a Ford EcoBoost will tow a 28' Classic beautifully.
