Condition means everything when dealing for a trailer that is 25 years old. How much has been updated or repaired? How many hard miles has the trailer seen? What condition are the axles? How much are you needing to add or repair to make it usable and reliable for the use you have intended?

The seller just had the axles gone over packed with grease ($950.00). Also a new refer. The ac works, no soft spots, no major dents, good tires, no rust on the frame what I can see, holding tanks work. The hot water heater is good.
The only real issue is some peeling on the roof. The front has been polished but that's about it. I think this is more of a cosmetic thing that is costly to redo but I'm not going to touch it. Also the decals / pinstripe is peeling again to me not that serious of an issue.
It dose have the original 2 40 gallon propane tanks will I have a hard time filling because of the age?

I owned a 93 34' limited and they are very nice trailers. The new refer is a real value at $1200-1400. Tires is always a concern, I upgraded mine to 16 rims with Michelin LTX, which performed perfectly for me. Get a tire monitoring system, it's well worth the money.
Some 34' trailers have an issue with front end shell/frame separation, with symptoms showing as cracks on the top right of the entry door, when looking from the outside. There is a fix for that problem. Never had a problem getting the gas bottles filled. They are horizontal tanks.
I would be very tempted to buy it for that price.

Look for the date stamp on the handle of the propane tanks. If it is over 12 years past the date stamped into the steel then they will need to be re-certified. Most propane dealers are very picky about that these days and will not fill a bottle out of date, too much liablity. Your local dealer can tell you where to get them checked.

Smile Love the '93

2015 Classic - Owners' Thread - Airstream Forums The last new trailer for me was a '96 - after nearly a dozen Airstream trailers owned, it was a disaster. I abandoned trailers for a '99 motor home but that was problematic in different ways. I sought experienced advice which said the best trailers were '86-'93 and I found a late '93 limited which has been everything i wanted. It tows well, the finish is in excellent shape and I've kept it looking new and I love the space. I plan to keep it as my last RV with annual maintenance to keep it in super shape. The '90 you are considering should be as good IF NEVER NEGLECTED along the way - finish, appliances, interior, axles, tires, brakes, etc. Good luck. These were "boiler plate" years for Airstream and with loving care will last you a lifetime.

We recently started "looking" for a solid 34'. We are full time Workampers, living in a 31' Sovereign International ('79). We think the extra space will be awesome. I'll follow this thread w/interest.
G'luck!!

Horizontal Bottles are exempt from OPD certification

The one I purchased is for sale it is great condition in fact I just had it gone through from top to bottom at our local dealer and everything is in working order. I have numerous pictures if you are seriously looking I can email them to you. The airstream is too big to fit our needs of course my wife told me that before I bought it and of course I didn't listen. So hence its for sale
I do have another party that is looking for one as well and is coming to check it out this weekend. If he doesn't purchase it then I Will list it here in the classifieds.
Let me if you would like to see the pics and you can call me to discuss the price 3139990031

Yes, I'd like to see the pix, but I've just begun our search. Don't hold out for us, if the guy this weekend is interested. Bird in the hand Brother!!
