1980 Excella 31' Value

I Have a 1980 31' Excella in good original condition. Some clear coat pealing,
otherwise has some sheen to it. Zip canopy in good shape, all glass is good and interior in good original condition. Appliances work. Trailer has been parked in trailer park 8 yrs., jacked up on blocks. What is the price range for this?

Hi firepatb--Being parked for 8-years, the running gear may need some serious attention, that will reduce the value.--Frank S

Go on EBay and watch for a couple of weeks. Those prices are real but the descriptions are sometimes inflated a bit. The size and year are pretty popular so there are still quite a few of these units around. The rear bath units sometimes experience the tail droop syndrome and that will deflate the price quite abit if it has it. The factory repair is seen as crescent shape cuts in the rear corners of the trailer where they install additional bolts. They also add a stiffener plate which can be seen by looking between the wheels for the bolts fastening it to the original plate. Closer examination will show the laminated structure of two plates. If the fixes have been installed the trailer will be worth a little more. These particular models are not particularly collector models so do not expect collector prices. They are good family units or may be used by couples who want to stay in one location for extended stays and want the room.

The current prices I have been seeing in the south east have ranged from free to $8500. That is for 1980-82 31' Excellas. I just picked up one in poor was the free one I have seen a couple priced as high as $11,000 and they are still sitting there 4 months later. You can also check places like RV trader and see what other people are attempting to sell them for.
