1976 International Ambassador Value

I am looking to buy an Airstream to do a full renovation and I found a '76 International Ambassador listed in Texas for $10k and would really appreciate your feedback on what the going purchase price should be.

I'd like to get the purchase price as low as possible as I am prepared to put in $15 - 20k in renovations and will doing the work myself with my brother.

It is 2hrs away so these are the only pictures I have until i go out there but would like to have a price range before we make the drive.

You say your are looking to do a "full rennovation," do you mean shell-off, floor replacement, rebuild of everything, etc., or more of a superficial sprucing up?

If you are going "full monty," then you may as well buy at trailer that is a field find, with a decent shell, as you are going to rip everything apart anyway. A trailer in this shape should cost less than $3k. There is no sense in buying a "camping ready" trailer, unless you don't intend to really tear into it.

I concur with Belegedhel that the one posted looks too good to do a "Full Monty" on...look for one is more disrepair to get the cost down. The one shown would be a great candidate for someone who wants an intact vintage trailer to use with only some sprucing up of the finishes.
