1969 Streamline Prince value?

Hi everyone,

I came across a 1969 streamline prince today. The trailer looks in good shape inside and out, there are a couple of spots that that have bondo on them. The owner said everything worked last time he used it but it was last tagged in 2009. He is asking $6000 for it....if everything is in working order is this a fair asking price? I would want to update the inside some and polish the outside If possible, I would need to put 4 new tires on as well. I can't seem to find much on this trailer and being this size 19ft I believe, it seems to be more rare...I came across a really nice streamline priince online that said sold for $14,900, but this one I'm looking at could use a little work and I didn't want to invest to much. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jared

We bought our 1968 21' princess for $3200. We had to upgrade the appliances. Water heater, floor, fridge and stove which cost additional ~ $1k.

Jared, I would put that closer to a $3000 trailer.

A couple thoughts:

The tires are now at least 4 years old, so will likely need replacing. They also look like car tires, a no no.

Unless the owner can show you that something works then assume it doesn't. Cause it won't.

The smaller Streamlines are harder to find, and will be worth more when finished. But starting in 1968 they used anodized aluminum, so they can't easily be polished to a mirror finish without first removing the anodization.

Good luck, check out the Vintage Kim section for more help.

Sounds like a 3K trailer. Everything works are famous last words. There are a lot less Streamlines around. But they are also hard to find parts for and generally fetch less than Airstreams. Good trailers though
