1953 Flying Cloud

We stumbled upon a 1953 Flying Cloud (built in California). It has some pretty big dents in the outside on each end of the outside shell. We are wondering what the current market is on this airstream. Just want to make sure the guy is not taking us for a ride. So my question is, How much would you pay for a 1953 Flying Cloud that had dents in the skin but otherwise is usable? And yes, I know there are a lot of other factors but just play along, if you found a 53 flying cloud that was not restored, had dents on the outside. But otherwise looks in good shape. How much would you pay?
Thanks.

I would guess 3 to 5k depending on several factors. If the dents aren't on the thirteen panels or the whale tail, that wouldn't be too bad. We purchased a 55 FC earlier this year with lower panel dents and paid in that range. But I planned on a shell off renovation which allows me to replace some of the exterior skin. Chances are with the age of the FC, there will be some major repairs. Another factor is the original interior, door hardware operational, axle condition, windows etc. Good luck whatever you decide.

Just be aware

Lets see some pictures. This could be a catastrophe in the making if your not aware and capable.

Ccorwin55, I retract the price range. I have no idea if it's original, partially renovated or totally renovated. Or, what condition it's in. Melody Ranch is correct. Need more to go on. Thanks
