Why so few 74-84 shorter AS for sale

I have been looking for that just right Airstream for my wife and myself. We have been looking at 1974 to 1985 Airstreams shorter then 26 feet with a double bed or rear bed. All we ever see is 28 & 31 footers for sale. What's up with that? I know they made shorter ones as the floor plans are listed on the AS web site.

Yes they did, but they did not make them in great quantity. The 27 and 31 footers were churned out like crazy. There are more smaller Argosy's out there, but they ceased production in 78ish... You just have to be diligent, they do come up for sale, but you will pay the same or more for a short one as for a 27 or 31 foot unit of that vintage.

If you expand to include 1972 I have an Argosy for you.
