My '96 had very little clear coat degradation. Decals were much more an issue and interior ceiling which was due to EPA requirements to stop using Adhesives with VOCs.
My '89 was much more of an issue with peeing clear coat.

I'd pay to see that!

I was watching "Extreme RV" this morning. Timeless Travel Trailers, Wheat Ridge, CO was featured. They specialize in restoring (rebuilding and upgrading) all older Air Streams. It was fascinating.

After a lengthy search eight years ago I purchased my first Airstream, a 1990 25' Excella. And I'm still really happy with my choice. Many thousands of miles. And we still have the oak cabinets, just like we did in our kitchen in the 70's.

I've also noticed that there are usually very few for sale. Folks must be hanging on to them.

Getting it out of storage today to prepare for the traveling season!

Happy trails,
John

We love our '94 Excella 1000 34 ft. After having a 22' and a 31', the longer trailer gives us so much more room. No plans on trading or upgrading to a newer unit. There is almost nothing that I can't repair or fix in this trailer, with no Hi-Tec and 'HI COST" super electronics that even most RV tech's can't fix!! Replaced the fridge last year, and it was an easy 3 hour job. Replaced the furnace fan motor and blowers and sail switch also. Easy job!! No new electronic ALDE heating system for me!! JMHO!!

We have our 1990 30 foot Excella by the pool, and travel in our 1999 25 foot safari. It is the best of both worlds.

Love it. I've always thought a long Airstream would be a great pool house.

Also, when we were parked in the city lot in Pagosa Springs this past October (right in front of the springs), it was like we had our own pool house for the hot springs!

We have a 93 29’ RBT and love it! We’ve had it six years, third owners. We had the blue carpet removed, installed bamboo flooring, raised the beds and added 6 drawers under each bed. Have had to replace the water pump and axles, both were original. Love the oak cabinets!

I have one of those, a 98. They probably all went to the scrap pile because the quality was really bad! Still have it but it is cold, still leaks and we guess what part will fall off at the next stop. The mice love it though, can't keep them out because of the poor construction.
