We bought our 2014 30 ft Flying Cloud from Foley RV too. Great folks. We had it there completing a couple of things we wanted done and picked it up about 10ish this morning. You were probably there. We are at Buccaneer State Park in Waveland camping. Great park. You should consider camping here sometime when y'all are back down this way.

We have camped in Arkansas a couple of time and really enjoyed it. I'm sure we will end up there again.

We have a lot of great State Parks in Arkansas. I'm sure other states do as well, but that is all we know at this time. With two working parents and kids most of our trips are weekends which mean we stay in AR. Our preference is to stay in the mountains (Ouachitas and Ozarks), but there are some nice parks along Crowley's Ridge as well (Crowley's Ridge SP, Village Creek SP, Missisippi River SP).
It is on my todo list to start exploring Mississippi and Louisiana.

I hung out down there growing up as a "Bay Rat" back in the day. That place got tore up real bad during Katrina. Sounds like they have made great progress getting back to business.

I agree....20-22% is doable...just need to find the right dealer that will work with you.

That storm was bad! They are doing a great job to bring this to par. The park is back and operating very well.

28 Foot International Purchase

At the end of May I negotiated the purchase of a 2014 28' International Serenity with the following options:
1000W Inverter
Power Awning
Awning Package
Dual Air Conditioners
Ultra Leather Up-grade

I negotiated with the regional manager over the phone for a 20 percent discount from MSRP. I had to go back and forth a couple of times but consummated the deal with a deposit. I live in Western PA but was so impressed by the caliber of this dealership that I drove across country to Portland, Oregon to pick it up. Spent a great trip traveling through some spectacular country in Utah and Colorado. I was able to spend some time with my grandchildren in Seattle so the trip was a double benefit for me.

was that the same dealer who has stores in seattle and boise? I assume it was not an order but one on the lot?

That is correct. They have numerous locations on the west coast. I would do business with again.

We consider the 11% deal the best bargain.
Really?? We are just 'researching' our first AS. So we should custom order a brand new one vs trying to negotiate on a new 2013?? How difficult is it to find used AS if we have a particular model we like?

If you can find a dealer that has a 2014 in a version that you would like, it would be best to see if you could negotiate the best deal on that unit. According to what I have heard there is a significant price increase for 2015 Airstreams. Hope you find what you are looking for and welcome to the journey.

We love Village Creek and wish that Bull Shoals wasn' so far from North Texas....

Really just depends on the model you want to buy and the dealer you want to buy from. For example: International Serenity prices were virtually unchanged from 2014 to 2015 but the Classic went up about $25,000.

I ordered a 2015 Int Serenity in June and got 20% off the MSRP. While there aren't a lot of 2014 Int Serenity models around now, the price is virtually the same and you might be able to negotiate 25% off MSRP if you are lucky.
