Hi All. Does anyone out there have any experience of shipping trailers to the UK? There are very few Airstreams over here, but a few do make it over somehow. Any advice on costs and logistics would be welcome.
I would think it would be easier to get one from the Dealer in Germany than to ship one from the US. And the systems seem more in line with what is normally found in European models. Go to 2:07

Reach out to the WBCCI Europe guys....about 50% of the members own vintage, many have imported.
Personally I can recommend Schumacher (https://www.schumachercargo.com/), about $4K for a 20ft MH, and they help with the paperwork, but there are lots of options out there.
Hehe.. not necessarily a mistake, I never thought of vintage, just like you didn't think new, so that would make sense too. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he clarifies.
I did see a video of a European couple and they were shipping their RV (think truck camper size) back over and said it would cost about $4500 us
