Recognized scams thanks to Airforums

My sister-in-law just advertised her trailer (and, no, Mr. Moderator, I won’t provide any details and violate the rules). Within an hour she got two of the classic scam responses:

1} I am Sergeant so and so and I will pay your asking price via PayPal and a third party will pick up the trailer.

And

2) I will buy your trailer sight unseen for the asking price. What is your address so I may have my bank send you a cashier’s check. A third party will pick up the trailer.

Thanks to this Forum, when she asked me about these offers, I was able to explain the scams.

I don't know how many times I've posted, warning people about possible scams.

I received the same responses to my ad here, from Sergeant and one other who wanted to send by Paypal. Thanks for the heads up.
