Nope, Forest City (allied) went down for the same agreed value policy as last year. No claims.

FCIS Insurance - Iowa Life, Auto, RV and Pet Insurance Company

Haven't had a claim, so I don't know about service, but they were very accommodating about my agreed value needs. They seem to understand that issue well. My dealer appraised and gave me a written valuation 2 years ago. They haven't asked for a new appraisal yet.

Lee I had NatGen thru Good Sam. Storage center backed the trailer into a wall and NatGen pulled out the fine print and refused to pay. As I looked for other carriers I checked with each of them the language they had about storage centers (also applies to a service facility). NatGen was the only one that excluded coverage if someone else in any type of commercial was moving your trailer and damaged it. No Coverage.

I am with BlueSky and like their service.

Oh, yes indeed! I was paying a total of $2,800 per year for my Airstream Interstate and my Honda Fit combined. National General wanted to boost my rate to $4900 per year!

I switched to Progressive and I'm once again paying $2800 per year now for both vehicles combined. And with higher coverage limits as well!

Travellers Ins. Thru Independent Agent

Burb, Buick Rendezvous & Airstream.

2014 $1796/yr 8yr old policy

2015 $1075/yr New policy.

Same exact coverage, different actuarial tables I guess.

Nope, I'm with Progressive and my policy is about $36 less than last year. No claims ever, no deductible due to my good record.

It seems to be a game the ins. company;s play.. Get you hooked and slowly adds fire under you till you jump out of the pan..
This is a great reason our country grew so healthy over the past 2 decades... Now we are seeing our options funneled into 1 or 2 larger company;s that are slowly applying a choke hold on us all..

I read a story about some light bulbs back in the 1920s were made to last a life time.. All the light bulb company;s got together and made a pack to limit the life of a light bulb around 1200 hours... Bingo,, return sales...
Same game plan,, as I see out world change over my 60+ years watching the decay..

trailer Insurance

Don't expect the insurance company to call you and ask if you want lower premiums;like all our toys, as they age they also loose value; I depreciate my boat and trailer every year at renewal time and get a lower premium; why would you keep insuring something for lets say $40,000 in 2010, when in 2015 it might get $25,000; the companies are hoping you don't call them;

LeeJ, I would consider shopping for insurance. I just cancelled my National General policy after reading the fine print per se. The entire sales ploy used on me was to get my Airstream out from under an auto policy which only pays NADA values and is less apt to cover internal damage (scenario used on me: if you have an accident and there is outer damage that also damages the stove, they will repair the outer damage but not the interior damage.) Ironically when I got the NG policy, it said right at the top "Auto Policy Coverage" I also confirmed NADA value usage.

I have read the entire policy of FCIS (Allied) and it is an agreed policy (within 3 years of purchase or appraisal) AND it is covered- period.
