Hi All,
Taking delivery of our 2020 25FB Globetrotter this weekend. Finalizing financing etc and are presented with a Good Sam extended warranty and tire and wheel coverage. Both are quite expensive, total together about 6% of purchase price. Thoughts on value? Better to save a bit each month in a repair fund? I ve often found this type of coverage has so many exclusions and restrictions I'm not sure it is worth it.
Any thoughts and experiences are appreciated.
Thanks!
Extended warranties are a boondoggle designed to fleece the consumer and pad the dealer’s pocket. Invest the money you would spend on an extended warranty and you’re far more likely to come out ahead. There are exceptions, but remember that the casino almost always wins.

We got an extended warranty on our last trailer. It had a dark fiberglass nose, which faded badly. Months of negotiation with dealer, multiple trips there. All the proofs they required by contract!
Leave the $$$$ the dealer wants for the 'extended boondoggle' in the checking account and use it for all the improvements you find you absolutely MUST have. 😂
All appliances have makers warrantee.
And when they do go south after expiration you will have the option to take a step up in quality.

No matter what fails or when, the people who administer the extended warranty will find some verbiage in the fine print that makes it an “uncovered” failure.
You are getting a three year warranty from Airstream. Coupled with the appliance warranties, that is all you need.

Thank you to everyone who responded. We took your advice and skipped the extended warranty for all of the reasons you listed...and more.
We are headed out Thursday for our 1st multi day trip and are so excited. This forum is invaluable and I thank you all for your input on so many issues.
