Anyone who even thinks about toying with the idea of putting in a bid ought to be shot. $37,500 is just obscene, especially when the trailer doesn't have a bathroom, bed or kitchen. I lived in CA for almost seven years, but I've never understood to this day why things are so much more expensive there.
I remember looking at a VW Kombi ('58, I think)....had been sitting in this hippy's yard with weeds growing around it for literally 25 years (this was in 1995). Everything on it was total crap....motor shot, body shot, the tires had disintegrated and the wheels were sunk in the dirt, all the windows broken, a colony of mice living in it....this thing was down in Big Sur but should have been in a junkyard. The guy wanted $3500 for it. I laughed and left. In 2006, I drove by his place, when we were scattering Sherri's ashes, and the Kombi was still there, even more rotted and still for sale.
