I agree.

They are beautiful trailers, but they aren’t cheap to repair.

The sale price did t leave any margin for repairs, without being in it upside down, economically.

Just remember the trailer you BUY is the trailer you will SELL at some time in the future. Buyer's when you sell will have the same questions and concerns as you do now as a buyer.

With previously damaged or gutted AS trailers sometimes FREE is not a good enough price!

Casita will work

Update:

Well, I pulled the trigger on a 2016 Casita 17' Liberty Deluxe yesterday.
It's in new condition stored indoors and only used 3 times. Appliances and shower have never been used.
This will suit my needs for now and for a lot less $$$$$

Congratulations! I always thought they looked like great trailers. Have fun!

There are cheaper and better trailers made.
I know many Airstream owners will take issue with my opinion. Unless you have lots of money don’t buy.
Which is why 75% of all AS produced since 1931 are still on the road. Fragile? Not hardly.

Yeah, fragile is not a word I would use. I bought my 1986 31’ Sovereign when it was already 19 years old. Rebuilt the fridge, did bearings and brakes and then towed it over 80000 miles all over the lower 48. Only major expense was replacing the axles when it was 25 years old.

Sold it last Spring and the new owner has big plans for his “new” 34 year old trailer as soon as the plague abates.

Nicely done!

Those are so light and tow so well. Have fun and enjoy.
