Question 1984 345 Limited Motorhome

Hey everyone... I have a 1984 airstream 345 with a 7.1L Chevy Gas, 34ft motohome with 82K on it. I would consider it to be around average condition, especially for the age. It is all original, bought from an older couple that decieded to be done with there traveling days. What does anyone realisticly think it is worth. I have it on ebay hoping to give it some worldwide exposure. This is a true classic that seems to be pretty hard to find. If anyone can tell me what they think or if you are interested in purchasing please let me know- Make me a reasonable offer. I am a local independent car dealer- I took it in on trade- looked everything over to determine any problem areas and found what I think is few. Just needs a nice facelift. I would keep it my self and update everything but I just don't have the time. hope anyone can help or is interested. thanks!

Here is the ebay listing number # 220209334765

Hi usewicke!

I have been watching your auction and am really surprised no one has bid on it yet. I think your price is very fair and would think you will still get some bids on it before it closes. Unfortunately, you are listing a heavy gas-guzzler at a bad time in our economy for such things, but there are still people very interested in the classic motorhomes and would hopefully buy them now, when prices are lower.

The problem with the older mohos is that a lot of things will need to be renovated/replaced (unless they already have been). All of the window seals, possibly/probably major electrical components, steering components, plumbing, etc. Certain parts can be very expensive (windshields, aluminum panels, etc.). We put several thousand dollars into our 1984 310 Limited almost immediately after buying it in similar condition, just to make it road- and camp-worthy.

There are people looking for these beauties out there, though. Try posting it in the Classifieds section here on the forums, if you have not already. Don't give up! The right person is out there!

Susan

Photos don't enlarge and the email pop up slider made me leave.
Lots of good shots, just too small.

Personally I think its a bargain. If it doesn't sell on eBay I'll be real surprised. Like Susan said post it in the classifieds.

Just recently there have been a couple of classic motorhomes that sold for more on eBay that weren't in as nice a condition.

Good luck!

Brad

Hi usewicke!

I saw your auction ended early--did someone buy it off-line?

84 Limited

Still looking for a buyer.. I took it off ebay early the first time because I had someone local person here that was pretty set on it but his finances feel through, than listed it with an make and offer method and just got some not so serious low ballers...I general try different methods of listing if one does work, I just listed it today starting at $1000 with no reserve... I need to sell this so if you are interested bid on it or call me. Thanks for all the feedback!
