I respect Mr. Colin and other's experience...

My 1999 AS has 'solid wire'... I have encountered some issues with metal fatigue in the wire... but, not everywhere.....so, that was my suggestion for multi strand.

Same with my boats, motorcycles, aircraft. Stranded run next to solid, solid fails...first. If it shakes or moves, I prefer stranded.

When I replace wiring in my AS, it is stranded....

Of course YMMV, it is YOUR AS...and we wish our all the best..

Amy. I am sure you are going to be able to get your aluminum sooner than later. You know you can do this! I know you can cut it yourself. There has to be the type you need in Australia. Keep at it.

Hi Mel!! We are all well, how are you? We just took the airstream in tonight for a quote on repairs, but it sounds like it could take a long time for them to get it done 😁 I'm so impatient!! Apart from that, all is well! Xxx

We are going nowhere. STILL in dispute with the insurance agency. They want to pay us $4,400 for repairs when our quote is $10,000. They had a panel beater say he could do it for that price so they believe I should be happy with that. A panel beater...repairing a vintage Airstream. Seems legit hey? 😡😡😡

I'm curious as to how you changed out the electrical systems to work. 110 in US to 230-240V in other countries?
