1980 29' motorhome
hey there
i am looking at a 1980 motorhome for sale and looking for some info. It needs a complete interior overhaul and i know little more than that it runs. Seems like the body needs electrical work.
What might the value be?
How much does this weigh?
Thanks
oh yeah, how high are they

1980 28' airstream motorhome value?
Hey there,
I am looking at buying one which needs a complete interior overhaul. It runs but haven't driven yet. The body/windows/etc are in good condition. Doesn't appear to have rust on the frame.
Is $6000 way to much?
I lost my 1968 landyacht in an accident, it was a beauty.
Thanks

The Value is hard to determine without a test drive. Engine, Transmission, Rear, Brakes etc.

shipping an airstream motorhome to Hawaii
Hey there
i am looking to ship an airstream to kauai, either a motorhome or a towable one. Any ideas on shipping in a container, do any models fall below the 7'8" width and the 8'10" height?
How tall are the 1980 motorhome, 28' excella?

Make sure you have the coach, properly repaired, before you ship it to Hawaii.
There are zero RV repair shops in Hawaii.

The typcial AS moho is 10-12' high for clearance. The weight varies model to model, but you can bet 12000 lbs is close.
The value depends on what needs fixing. The systems of the coach in addition to the drivetrain.
You can easily spend thousands repairing one.

You might try a company called "Matson". When we lived there, seems like every ship in the Harbor (well, except Pearl Harbor) had that name on it, and they do ship from the west coast.

It depends on the width. I'd wonder about damage to the sides from suspension movement. See the following (pics in the last thread):

I'd think roll-on, roll-off is another alternative -- an operational engine/drive train is necessary. A member sold a vintage trailer to England last summer; pay special attention to security a company will provide dockside, take copious photos, get damage guarantees or insurance.

thanks for all the help, seems like $7k to roll on is cost prohibitive
looking at smaller tow models, what is a standard airstream width
