Modification Required For Uk

Can anyone who has imported their airstream to the UK help me. I need to know what modification I will need to make it legal for UK roads. I also need to know the cost involved and a company that will carry out the work for me in the USA. I want to be able to tow it straight from the port once it has been shipped.

If its not to wide it should be ok the tow hitch they use in the U.S.A is imperial where as ours is metric best changed in U.K also electrics for trailer board are different from U.K trailer boards. If I was importing a trailer from the U.S.I would get it converted here as it is unlikely that you would find U,K. parts in U.S.good luck

Maggi---The Airstream factory could be a resource. They are building new models for Europe including UK. The factory service center may be equipped to do the mod work you need. Try Dave Schumann, Gen Mgr of Customer Relations Group, phone 937-596-6111

What model and year trailer are you importing? Good luck.
