Hi,
I'm considering a purchase of an Airstream in Canada. Do any of you know what I'll need to do, what paperwork, etc..., I'll need to bring it into the US, and what about duty? Thank you! Lisa citydoll2004@aol.com

Hi and welcome to the forums. Contact US customs for specific info. You also might try this link - it has a lot of interesting info.

Anyone else know...?

Bringing "Baby" back home

I have to revive this thread....hope for current help out there.

I want to bring an Airstream back into the US. Its currently, and always has been, registered in Canada. I really need to know whats required so I don't end up bogged down in problems at the border and my registration office.
What do I need do to? What do I need with me. Quick!!!I want to beat the snow.

Title, Reg, Bill of Sale, and Customs Declaration docket.????

If you are bringing payment into Canada and it is more than $10,000.00 you have to declare it at the Canadian border.

Contact US customs as to what they require. It's not difficult. I believe you will be assessed duty, something along the lines of 2% but if so it is minimal.

I believe you have to prove the unit is free of debts/liens.

Go to this US Customs website which should answer all your questions as when I googled this here's what it came up with:

CBP.gov - home page

US Customs ServiceAnswers all questions about importing INTO the United States.

good luck with your purchase.
