Import export !

Hi folks
This is an unusual situation ! In 1998 we exported an Airstream 270 motorhome from South Carolina to the UK , since then it has now come to rest in Portugal . In the meantime my daughter and her American husband have moved to Seattle and I need a granny annexe . Since the bus is sitting around here falling into some disrepair I am considering re-importing it to the US which may well work out more economical that building a cabin in their back yard and or course we can fix it up and travel around , and it will be an appreciating assets . BUT !! how on earth do I set about doing this ? Any suggestions of a starting point would be much appreciated !
Thank you !

You can certainly get it back from Southampton or Zeebruge. RORO ferry is cheapest to Galveston.

BTW - memories of a very happy holiday out in Isle de Tavira and the Sunshine Bar, probably early 90s. Cool place.

You could probably get it back for about £3.5k. If it's in disrepair, you will obviously need to spend a fair amount to get her roadworthy again.
