I need a 22 Bambi moved from Idaho to Canada

I’m reaching out here to “ Airstream Friends”!

I need to find someone ( or a couple) who have the time and inclination to Tow my 22 Bambi from CouerdeLane Idaho, to Vancouver Island BC Canada as I’m here for work, and I haven’t had time to learn / practice Towing as this job came up fast! ( I only got her in February)❤️

Obviously the “ someone “ would be interested in making this trip, would have the time to make it a “ vacation”, and would be compensated for all costs.

It would be great to have my Airstream “Home”, as it’s proving difficult to find accommodation here.

I know this is a long shot, but you never know. There might just be someone who always wanted to visit this beautiful island and needs an excuse to make the trip.

Also, nothing lost by asking!!

Any suggestions also welcome!

Thanks

Kathleen Lois

FWIW, offering compensation to the volunteer will likely push this into commercial territory (and possibly requiring a CDL) should anything happen en-route. I am not the best expert here though and only know enough to sense a question coming.

Another path is UShip <dot> com where commercial operators will bid for the work. If there is some flexibility in delivery timeline, can wait for a lower bid to appear as people are always looking for deadhead work.

Thank you for taking time to give advice. I’m checking out the “ uship” option. Thanks for that.

Kathleen I agree it doesn't hurt to ask. Just need a adventurous person with time and desire.

Also maybe reach out the the WBCCI club in Washington State thru an email. Maybe they can email blast their members to see if anyone us up for the challenge.

Good luck.

Another vote for Uship.
I have had several positive experiences with them and if you are flexible on dates, can often get a surprisingly low price using auction format.

Good advice so far. Crossing the border to Canada bumps this into the "more complicated" mode right away IMO.

Not to mention the impact of the COVID-19 Coronavirus on all travel. Waiting a month or two (or more), to see how the virus issues play out, may be necessary IMO.

Good luck,

Peter
