How to ship my 66 safari 22' from ca-europe?

I am new to this forum, so I am looking forward to see my results.
This week I decided to ship my treasured 66 Safari to Europe where I live now (Bulgaria to be exact).
Does anybody have any experience or knowledge as to how one ships an Airstream overseas? The cost in general and are they placed or strapped onto a large "pallet" or what? They are obviously too large for a container.
My trailer is in Central California, and I would probably ship it to Varna, Bulgaria on the Black Sea.
Any advice or insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It exists some possibilities to ship your Airstream to Europe,

You can do it yourself or ask to another person where lives in USA.

I did it 2 years ago, it costs me 3.200 USD only for the boat from Galverston - Texas to Zeebrugge - Belgium

Don't forget some taxes when the Airstream arrives to the arrival port

Then you have to drive your Airstream from port to Bulgaria by road, yourself or with an haulier.

You might want to check that it is legal - in terms of size and weight for towing there.

I do shipping from the US to UK/Europe/NZ, vintage cars and trailers... There is allot of paperwork to do, but once thru that and trailer delivered to port. it should go easy.. The biggest thing is getting the paperwork correct and working with a person who knows what they are doing...
Best of luck..

Mark Evans (AirstreamGuy on FB) shipped my Bambi II from Galveston TX to Europe for the buyer when I sold it. It seems the best way is to use a RO-RO (Roll On Roll Off) ship like the ones used by car makers to ship vehicles to the US. He handled all the paperwork for a very reasonable fee. You will have to remove LP cylinders as flammable materials cannot be carried on board. You vintage unit is most likely narrow enough and light enough to comply with European limits. Good luck!
