Finding an AS in the US

Hi all i was wondering if anyone can tell me how to buy an airstream in the U.S if you are not in the country, i've been looking on Craigslist and Ebay but when i email the sellers i never get a reply and if i call them they don't want to know about international buyers, so how do you go about gaining someones trust to do such a thing? any help would be much appreciated thanks, Richard.

Mr Green,
I would have to think the easiest way would be to have a representative here in the US that knows what and for how much you are looking for in a rig. With all of the scams going on in today's market, it makes it very hard for a legitimate buyer from afar to gain confidence or trust from a seller.

Call Andy at Inland RV, he is a regular to this forum and could probably help you in finding what you want. Being that far away, there may be advantages to working with a dealer from a reputable dealership.

A US Airstream will need modifications to be registered in Europe. Shipping will not be cheap. It will be bigger than some European highways and towns can handle. I think that you may be happier and might save some money if you look for a European model.
