Remove Bedroom Locker in 25' FB SE

I'm contemplating having the overhead locker in the bedroom of our 2006 25 FB SE removed. I don't care for it, don't need it, and it's in my way. I also want to 'open up' the bedroom space as less is more. Does anyone know what I might find behind it? If there's not aluminum skin back there or things unsightly, then I'll just have to live with the locker. Is this something I could hire a reputable Airstream dealer to do?

Nope!

Don't even think about it. The inside panels will be an unholy mess with speaker and light wires, plus mounting screws, so unless you're prepared to replace them too it's a bad idea.

Thanks, Paula. It was worth a thought. I'd better leave it alone.

Alternatives

You might consider changing the doors out - perhaps leave them off, or replace with clear plexiglass. That would open up the feeling of the space.
