Project Safari

So I've been driving by this what looks to be a California built 1962 Safari. I finally decided to stop and take a closer look. I talked to the owner who thinks he may sell. My question is can anyone tell me for sure year model and how hard is it to find replacement windows on something this old.
I'm trying to weigh all the major expenses before making an offer.anyone have any idea what something like this is worth from my pictures?for sure it will need body off restore as the subfloor is wasted.
I realize it will require tons of work time and money but man I sure like the old airstreams.
Looks like someone added an extension to the frame for extra storage, that's got to go.
Thanks for the help and I realize price is based on many items, I'd sure like to get it at a reasonable price since it needs so much.
Mike

Wow Mike,
You sure are scrounging the Chihuahua desert looking for old aluminum! My general thought is that if it is a short trailer (22' and under) that needs a total restoration and the shell is in good condition, I wouldn't want to spend more than $3,000 on a very original unmolested trailer. This trailer has a bunch of strange modifications, missing windows, a dented panel on the from end cap. I'd give $1,000 for it, maybe $1,500.
Complete windows are not easy to source. You have to find them at salvage shops like rvrevive, Colaw's etc. or on ebay, forums classified.

HaHa,I think I have some strange addiction to aluminum. Thanks for the info and your insight, that all makes sense.$1000.00 is exactly what I was thinking. Now I have to decide if I really want to take on such a large project although I sure am having fun working on my Sovereign.
Thanks again Lance.

Looking at this trailer snd I can't seem to find serial number info anywhere on this thing for some reason.
Can someone direct me to the website on what year this trailer may be?
ThanksClick image for larger version
