Winegard ConnecT 2.0 - Please Help
We had a Winegard ConnecT 2.0 professionally installed in our Airstream. The manual and dealer stated that it is compatible with our current cellular provided, which is Verizon. I contacted Verizon and they sent me the SIM card, which is properly installed in the Winegard unit on the roof. It does not work and I have tried about everything I can think of to trouble shoot it. I have also had Verizon tech support tell me it will work AND it will not work. We upgraded our plan to unlimited data so we would not get throttled down, but that's useless if we can't get the Winegard ConnecT 2.0 to function. Our work around has been our Weboost, but I'd like to get this fairly expensive addition to work. If anyone is on Verizon or has had a similar experience with this newer product from Winegard, I'd love some input. Thank you.

I am in disbelief. They went from one blunder to the next with this 2.0. They let you use a sim and dropped the proprietary mandatory Winegard data plan, but they eliminated the ethernet internal LAN feature! So now you have a wifi unit on the roof of a big aluminum grounded shell. I had such horrible wifi in my 22fb that I just completed my internal ethernet network with an 8 port switch, I would never buy this. Strike 3.0 and your out so we'll see.

Shazam,
I have not gotten it to work and it has been very frustrating. I am taking our trailer to the dealer for some other services and I will be revisiting this issue as well.

Hi folks! I am about to change the fan in my 2016 AIRSTREAM Bambi 16' and I believe I will have access to the wiring for the Wingard TV antenna. Since I also need good reliable cell data coverage i have been considering replacing the omnidirectional TV antenna with a WIFI & Cellular booster. Cellular booster is more important.
Is the Winegard CONNECT 2.0 4G2 a good option? Is there a better alternative? Any advice on the installation and am i complete madman hoping i can replace the Winegard’s Model RS-0306 RoadStar Omni-directional TV Antrenna with a booster for cellular data?
Very grateful for recommendations on alternatives to the Winegard CONNECT 2.0 4G2 and especially grateful for things to watch out for if / when i make this upgrade... Thank y'all!

From my understanding, you can open up the Wingard and you will see the router. It basically is a circuit board. On the board IS an Ethernet connector that you can connect a second 5Ghz router to (Wingard is 2.4Ghz). If you run the ethernet into the trailer and mount the second router inside, you will solve all your problems.
By the way, the shell will not block the signal as previously stated. My inside router travels 100 feet outside my trailer.
