victron mutiplus to a colour display cable

when connecting the mutiplus to a colour display , are RJ45 type terminators needed.?
are 0, 1 or 2 needed
if one at which end?

Hi

One RJ-45 "ethernet cable" should do the trick. Both ends of the cable get a connector, all pins on the connector are hooked up. Nothing else (no resistors or weird stuff) goes in past the connectors and wire.

You may need a VE.Bus(?) to USB adapter to talk to the Multi to get it fully set up / firmware updated. It's weird, but you can't do everything from the Venus or the Color Panel.

i have the USB adapter. i use a small PC in the AS behind the monitor

do u know how to get rid of flashing error message on the victron colour display

I have no luck clearing it on the colour display, phone app or mutiplus web portal

this error message was when the AS22Fb was plugged in over night and a big rain storm tripped the GFI breaker

the next morning, the Lion batt was at 50 % as all the stuff in the trailr Ac & Dc was running off the battery or mutiplus inverter

I run a Venus so the errors pop up differently. I'd bet you have to clear that one on the 712. It may only clear after the batteries re-charge.

the error is 4 days old. the problem is long gone. there is no log reset on the colour display, phone app or the victron web portal for the mutiplus access

i rebooted the colur display. the alarm went away
