I have a 2018 27' FBQ FC. I had a lot of trouble with the signal dropping. I called Voyager, asking for a signal relay. None available but the tech gave info on a better antenna. I bought that and had some improvement. He said a lot of dropping is due to interference from nearby transmitters. Then, on the morning we were starting a long summer trip last year, the camera was out. I called Voyager, the helpful tech put me through the checks and concluded the camera was out. So, called the nearest RV shop. She said they could install a Furrion camera that morning. They did, I added side cameras but they are not needed (I cans see cars approaching in the rear camera until I can see them in the sideview mirrors. I have had much less (still have some) drops. But, recovers quickly. I am very satisfied with the Furrion camera.

I found a another antenna that should be even better than the one I specified in my original posting.

Unfortunately I am in the early leg of my 4+ month 2024 Summer Airstream adventure and won't be able to order the better antenna until I return from the summer trip.

If you decide to order the antenna below instead of the one in my original posting, please report back and let us know how well it works.

We took our new antenna out for the first time this weekend. No drops, 5 bar reception. No cursing.

My trailer didn't come with the factory rear view camera. I decided to be the pioneer and use a HaloView mounted INSIDE the rear window. (I actually use two, but that's another story.)

The cameras get power from a 12v. lighter plug I adapted from a USB port.
The monitor is mounted on an arm in front of the dash.

It never takes a hit. I have disconnected and driven 500' away and still have a picture.

Glad to hear that the new antenna helps provide a beefier signal .

Snapped off

Well, it was working great until last trip we went a short ways down the road and the backup camera stopped pairing. When we stopped the antenna was missing and it had broken off. I have no idea how, could have been the bump at the end of the driveway. Good thing I still had the old one. Anyways, I'm ordering another one and I think I'll put some shrink tubing around the base so it doesn't whip around. If you have a big one it might be a good idea just in case.
