satellite tv hookup

Need help understanding installation of satellite tv. I have a2016 Flying Cloud 25fb. I want to install a weingard or king stand alone system. My outside connections show cable and satellite coax. Do I simply attach coax to the satellite coax outside and done? Ot is some sort of receiver needed in the trailer? If so, how is that attached... How does the bluray player come into play? Any help for this novice appreciated

You will need a receiver- either Dish or Direct Tv. If you have either one at your home, and one of your receivers are not part of a 'Genie network (Direct TV unit), you can simply take it with you from your house. That is what we do. We have Direct TV, and have the Genie system for all rooms except one, where we have a stand alone DVR unit. It works great! Our King dome unit is attached on the roof, so it is direct wired.

Connect to the SAT connection. Inside you will need to install a SAT receiver and connect the incoming cable labeled SAT which is usually tucked behind the DVD player. Might take a bit of work to find it. You will also need an additional HDMI switching unit unless your FC has another input for connecting to the SAT receiver. Or you can simply unplug from the DVD player and into the SAT receiver.

Ditto on what Gary said. I had to remove the DVD player to find the Sat labeled cable. After that, I added a 2x4 HDMI splitter where I have both DVD and Sat available without changing inputs all of the time plus I can split usage of the TV's from front to rear. In other words, use Sat on one of the TV's and DVD on another or any combination of over air TV, Sat, DVD as desired. We use a portable tailgater system and it works well. Good luck.

What timing,TODAY I got mine connected & running. The box with the blue ray in it has three screws to remove (they are covered by white tabs) once done lift the box ( leave the blue ray alone) & you'll find the coax cable just laying in there in plain sight. As mentioned in a previous post you must replace the switcher/splitter supplied by AS with a 2x2 s/s box. Feed the coax & HDMI cable out the left side of the blue ray box, just remove the black tab covering the hole, attach coax & HDMI to back of dish receiver box, plug in & you're done.
I have step by step instructions sent from Airstream, if you PM me your email I'll forward to you.

Another question. I have a 2015 25FB with the Sirus/XM ready radio. How do I find the code for the radio to activate Sirus/XM and, do I have to pay an additional fee to activate this radio. I already have Sirus in my truck.

You will have to have another subscription for the AS and Sirius/XM ready just means you will need to still purchase a Sirius/XM tuner for it which is why you cannot find the code.

Did you install the King Dome yourself?

We bought our rig with the Kingdome already installed. The couple we bought it from used to run both cables from the receiver in the trailer to the cab of the truck with a tv on her lap while they were driving so they would not miss any re-runs of The Three Stooges!
