Remote Security Cam - This Looks Interesting

This looks like a viable solution for remotely monitoring the Airstream when on travel. I think I'm going to try this ... hope to report back in a few weeks when we're on the road again for a weekend outing.

Cabela's sells game trail cameras that are motion-activated, low-light, and weather-resistant, and can send images to your smartphone. These would make serviceable field-expedient security cameras for inside or outside your Airstream.

The thing that put me off was reading that you must have a wireless connection. That means that in the places where I would want it the most, it likely would not work. Depending on the campground's wireless system it would probably work in commercial campgrounds. However occupied commercial RV Parks are the place I feel most comfortable because of the people density. A system whose internet connection was via cell tower would stand a much better chance of working where I want it.
