Not thinking

This is one of the first upgrades we made to our fc20.

First.. we picked a spy camera that was ip64 water resistant and does power over ethetnet, so we only have one cable to snake they the rear tail light and down to the overhead cabinet.

The spy camera (tatathink) is much much smaller than any WiFi junk sitting on. The back of your airstream. And it is wide angle (perfect as a rear view camera)

Second, the control module for the camera plugs into the router which is also in the cabinet. So.. no lag and we can use it while driving day and night as a live rear view camera.

We watch the rear view camera on the same WiFi network with our phone mounted to the carís dash.

The WiFi router (powered over 12v) also doubles as our internet with an android cell phone tethered to it via usb (which also powers the phone).. so we have unlimited internet wherever we go for a very reasonable rate.

When we are parked in our garage we use this internet connection to add more cameras thru an Insteon hub and also allows us to check/control the thermostat etc.. in the garage.

What kind of camera did you use?
It was a no-name as I remember but close as I could find after months of searching for an smaller exterior ip rated rounded and decent 12vdc 1080 specs with IR night vision. Was white before matching paint job. Can dig to find source if needed.

Yeah, have done CCTV work and doesn't look like anything I have seen, not surprised it took some searching. Good find.
