No tv air signal?
I am trying to get an over the air signal at Coeur d'Alene. Yesterday got 6 weak signals, now 0. Winegard batwing in my 93 is amplified. I suspect a sudden amplifier failure. Also failed when I turned on an interior 120 light. Thoughts. Ideas. Any way to test?

Got a Fantastic Fan running near the antenna? That could wipe out a weak signal...

We had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. Started looking at all the connectors, my signal amplifier is inside the wall but not too bad to get to. My problem was one of the F connectors had broken, it looked ok at a glance but when I moved it..it came apart. Got a new crimp on connector and everything is fine. Hope yours is as simple.

Hi
If it's not an F connector, next thing to check is the DC injector. A multimeter will show you if it is putting voltage on the coax to the antenna. If it's still sourcing DC and the connectors are ok .... Start poking at the antenna. It may be the amp.

I unscrewed the unit and wiggled it. Now it works. Don't know exactly why or how.

Sometimes the connectors get some corrosion or shake loose. That's why wiggling and re-seating connections of any sort is the first troubleshooting step.
It can be quite subtle

You can get/use something called 'tuner cleaner', used to be used for the old rotary channel selector on TVs. Still sold by that name or electronics cleaner. It's very handy to have in your toolbox. I got a small can from Radio Shack and a larger one from somewhere else, maybe Amazon. It cleans the contacts and evaporates, no / little residue, unlike WD40 which is a penetrating, lightweight oil.
