Just spent our first long weekend in our 'new to us' Sport 16. Everything worked perfectly other than the microwave. When power was applied to the trailer the microwave indicated that the clock should be set. After setting the clock, we attempted to test heat a cup of water. I depressed '3,' then the display said to press start. Pressing start did nothing. To make matters worse the light stayed on and the fan kept running despite pressing 'stop' and opening/closing the door. Ultimately I ended up turning off the breaker to the microwave as it was driving us crazy.
Is there a reset for this device or am I probably looking at a replacement?
I believe that the trailer was supplied with a Haier convection microwave. Mine also suffered an early death. I replaced it with a Sharp grill 2 convection microwave oven. The fit was almost perfect, only a small amount of adjustment needed.
I am building up a kitchen for the 56 Bubble. I am trashing the big oven and want a microwave replacement. Are there any "rules" as to RV or "home" types? Any suggestions? I'd like a Stainless look one for this project.

I think that a cheap inverter can trouble a microwave.
Melody,
I use this in 1968 GT. Avanti 700W 120VAC. Silver mirror face mimics SS, can use to beautify in if needed. As lightweight as they get. Matching brand 120VAC/12VDC refrigerator below. Happy.
