Looking for waterproof electrical "junction box"

I want to add a battery meter outside my trailer, next to the battery box. Somewhere on the Airstream forums site, I have seen some pictures of heavy-duty, waterproof, plastic (?) electronic boxes (with hinged top covers) that can be frame-mounted next to the battery box, but I can't locate them now. Anyone have some suggestions?

Hi

Any of the "big box" home improvement stores will have a variety of outdoor junction boxes in the electrical section. They also will have the fittings with rubber gaskets on them to get wires in and out of the boxes. The Hammond Die cast waterproof boxes from Digikey are nice, but you will still need to drill and mount some sort of fitting on them to keep the water out where the wires head into and out of the box. Resist the urge to simply point the holes down to keep the box dry. You get a lot of spray and splashing in the vicinity of the battery box.

If you are looking to monitor your batteries, you may want to consider the Bogart Trimetric. I installed

I had JC install it in my AS. Once configured it provides you with voltage as well as amperage in and out, plus percentage of charge left.

Both HD and Lowe's have watertight electrical boxes.
Have a wide variety of sizes.
Don't forget watertight fittings as well....
